Education About Program

Launched in December 2021, Project Growth is Edumedha’s flagship initiative dedicated to providing equitable, high-quality education to children who are orphaned, abandoned, economically disadvantaged, or in conflict with the law. These children reside in various Child Care Institutions (CCIs) and often lack the emotional and academic support that a family environment typically offers.

Today, the project supports 20 CCIs, delivering structured and child-centred educational assistance that helps bridge learning gaps and strengthen foundational skills.

Our journey began with a comprehensive baseline assessment, which revealed a pressing concern: a significant number of children struggled with basic reading and writing. Although many were enrolled in government schools, their comprehension levels, conceptual understanding, and academic confidence were far below age-appropriate standards. In many cases, childhood trauma had further affected their ability to learn, focus, and stay motivated. To address these challenges, Edumedha’s trained educators conduct daily offline classes for 2–3 hours after school. Each session is tailored to the individual needs, learning pace, and academic level of the child. Through innovative teaching techniques and the integration of digital tools such as computers, educators work to build strong academic foundations while nurturing curiosity, confidence, and a positive attitude towards learning.

The primary objective of Project Growth is to instill a genuine interest in education, as it remains the strongest path to self-reliance once these children turn 18. Along with academic support, we also guide them on potential career pathways, helping them explore opportunities that match their skills and aspirations. We believe that with consistent encouragement and a nurturing learning environment, every child can excel and unlock their full potential.
